The Rolling Stones will continue their weekly Extra Licks series, launched last week on their official YouTube channel, with the second episode, from Havana Moon, on Sunday (10). The band have shared another teaser trailer here:
Available digitally for the first time as a YouTube Premiere, the new episode features performances by the Stones from 2016’s Havana Moon. The film, directed by Paul Dugdale, depicted the band’s free concert in Havana, Cuba on 25 March that year.
A cultural landmark in Cuba’s history, the concert was attended by an estimated 500,000 people, and the film was released in November 2016 by Eagle Rock. The YouTube Premiere will debut at 12pm PT/ 3pm ET/8pm BST.
The series, in partnership with The Rolling Stones and Eagle Rock Entertainment, is available exclusively on YouTube. It brings together bonus features from no fewer than six concert films in the band’s incomparable history. YouTube Premieres represent a new way of sharing video content, turning the viewing experience into a communal moment with fellow fans around the world.
Last week’s first Extra Licks show brought together legions of fans worldwide to share in the excitement of performances from the 2016 concert film Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America, also directed by Dugdale. The YouTube broadcast, and the film, were captured on the band’s Latin America Ole! Tour of 2016.
