Published on

James Bay gets back to his early gigging roots in this video for his forthcoming single ‘If You Ever Want To Be In Love.’ The fourth track to be released from his platinum-selling debut album Chaos and the Calm, it has an impact date of 4 December and follows Bay’s recent triumph at the Q Awards, where he was named Best New Artist.

James Bay singleThe video was directed by the acclaimed Sophie Muller, and sees the artist performing live, to an enthusiastic crowd, at the Fiddlers Elbow, a pub in Camden, north London that he was playing only 18 months ago as he built his now huge fan base.

Chaos and the Calm is currently the biggest-selling artist album of 2015 in the UK, and has spent 31 consecutive weeks in the top 15, since debuting at No. 1 in April. In addition to his Q Awards victory, Bay was also named Breakthrough Solo Artist at the GQ Awards and had two nominations at the MTV EMA Awards, where he performed.

He’ll be in live action tomorrow (31) on the bill with Wolf Alice and Years & Years at the Vevo Halloween show at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester. Bay has already announced a three-night run of shows at London’s Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith, from March 29-31 next year.
