It lasts precisely 18 seconds, but Lana Del Rey fans will seize the chance to see and hear even this short teaser clip that she has posted of her new song ‘Honeymoon.’
The dreamy-sounding track, with its layered harmonies, previews the artist’s forthcoming album, also said to be titled ‘Honeymoon.’ Last month, Del Rey told the live audience at her show in Ridgefield, Washington that the album will be released in September. There have also been rumours that it will include a cover of Nina Simone’s ‘Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood.’
The New York singer also posted the lyrics for ‘Honeymoon,’ which include the lines: “We both know that it’s not fashionable to love me, but you don’t go cause truly there’s nobody for you but me.” Later, she sings “We both know the history of violence that surrounds you, but I’m not scared, there’s nothing to lose now that I’ve found you.”
Del Rey’s 20-date Endless Summer tour of North America, which began on May 7 and featured special guest Courtney Love, ended last night (16) at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida.
