Published on

Puss n Boots, the new trio featuring Norah Jones, released their debut Blue Note album ‘No Fools, No Fun’ on Tuesday (July 15) in the US, and we have the promotional trailer for you.

First, a little background about the group line-up. Multi-million-selling, multiple Grammy winner Jones, who sings and plays electric guitar and fiddle on the album, is joined in the three-piece by Sasha Dobson (vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, drums), a fixture on the New York jazz scene and on record since the mid-2000s, and Catherine Popper (vocals, bass, acoustic guitar), who played with Ryan Adams & the Cardinals, Levon Helm, Michael Stipe and many others.

The album has five original tunes and seven covers, among them tracks made famous by Johnny Cash, George Jones, Neil Young and Wilco. Puss n Boots made their national US television debut last night (Wednesday) on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ performing one of the new numbers, Norah’s composition ‘Don’t Know What It Means.’

In the five-minute trailer below, all three members of Puss n Boots talk about how they came together and offer a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the album.
