Sting’s ’57th & 9th’ World Tour Captured In Paris

Published on

Eagle Vision and Cherrytree Management have announced the 10 November  release of Sting: Live At The Olympia Paris. It will be available on DVD, blu-ray and digital download.

The release captures the 16-time Grammy winner’s performance in April 2017, when he and his band’s guitar-driven 57th & 9th rock tour arrived in the French capital. The concert was described by the Vancouver Globe & Mail as “the show of a lifetime.”

The set list features highlights from Sting’s entire, distinguished career, including both solo favourites, songs from the 57th & 9th album such as ‘I Can’t Stop Thinking About You’ and hits from his days with The Police such as ‘Every Breath You Take,’ ‘Walking On The Moon’ and ‘Spirits In The Material World.’

Joined by a four-piece band featuring longtime guitarist Dominic Miller, drummer Josh Freese, Rufus Miller on guitar and Percy Cardona (accordion), the performance also features backing vocals from Sting’s son Joe Sumner and Diego Navaira & Jerry Fuentes from Warner Music Nashville recording artists the Last Bandoleros.

The 57th & 9th World Tour, presented by Live Nation, opened on 1 February in Vancouver, and comes to a conclusion on 17 October in Romania. Its closing tally numbers 115 concerts throughout North America, Asia, Latin America & Europe.

The album 57th & 9th, Sting’s 12th solo studio project, was released by A&M/Interscope in November 2016 as his first pop-rock set in more than a decade. It was a top ten album around the world, including on the Billboard 200 in the US.
