Andrea Bocelli Releases ‘Romanza’ 30th Anniversary Editions
The ‘Romanza’ set includes unreleased material, while ‘Rarities’ collects three previously unheard albums.
Andrea Bocelli is in the process of celebrating his incredible music legacy. Today, a 30th anniversary edition of Romanza is out now through Sugar/UMe, while Rarities: Collectors Edition, will come out November 20 through Decca. The latter gathers three previously unreleased albums alongside archival material, personal writings and other limited-edition items.
Originally released in 1997, Romanza has sold nearly 20 million copies worldwide. Its 16-track anniversary edition includes “Time to Say Goodbye,” Bocelli’s duet with Sarah Brightman, “Vivo per Lei” featuring Giorgia, and a previously unreleased extended version of “Con te Partirò.” A deluxe package adds gold-colored vinyl, a signed Bocelli lithograph and a coffee-table book with newly commissioned liner notes by journalist Craig McLean. Both the standard and deluxe versions also include previously unseen photographs from the album’s recording sessions.
Rarities: Collectors Edition will contain three LPs and three CDs built around material being issued for the first time. Le Mie Poesie features new poems written and recited by Bocelli and set to music, while the collection also includes the operatic recordings Torre del Lago and Dall’Archivio (From the Archives). The numbered box adds a book of previously unpublished photographs, writings and poetry, plus a signed art print, handcrafted silk scarf and certificate of authenticity. The set will also be unveiled at Teatro del Silenzio, the natural amphitheater in Bocelli’s Tuscan hometown.
The releases arrive as Bocelli continues his Romanza 30th Anniversary World Tour, which opened its North American run in Seattle on September 8. Produced by AEG Presents, the 2026-27 itinerary includes two nights at Madison Square Garden in New York, along with dates at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena, Montreal’s Bell Centre and CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore. Bocelli, who has sold nearly 90 million records, first rose to wider attention after winning the Sanremo Music Festival in 1994 and has since received six Grammy and six Latin Grammy nominations.
