The Rolling Stones have shared the latest teaser for their current, weekly Extra Licks series in YouTube’s #StayHome campaign. The full video will be released in the series’ regular Sunday premiere and looks back on the summer of 2013, when the Stones made their triumphant return to London’s Hyde Park.

The video celebrates the band’s famous appearances at Hyde Park for two shows that marked the conclusion of their 50 & Counting tour to mark the Stones’ 50th anniversary. The concerts saw 100,000 fans pack into Hyde Park on 6 and 13 July 2013, right after the band had headlined that year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Rocking in the sweet summer sun
The spectacular London shows featured in the video release Sweet Summer Sun — Hyde Park Live, which was released in November of that year, directed by Paul Dugdale for Eagle Rock Entertainment. The album Hyde Park Live was also issued, shortly after the concerts.
The shows saw the Stones delight adoring audiences with a remarkable set list of all-time favourites, from the opening ‘Start Me Up’ to a closing ‘(I Can’t Get No Satisfaction.’ As well as other such staples as ‘Honky Tonk Women,’ ‘Brown Sugar’ and ‘Miss You,’ the shows also featured the new track ‘Doom & Gloom,’ from their 2012 anniversary compilation GRRR.
The #ExtraLicks Sweet Summer Sun performances will be a YouTube Premiere, as another unique, shared experience between the band and their fans. It’s the latest in this series of bonus features from six concert films that capture the Rolling Stones in their live majesty at various stages of their epic career. The series is in partnership with the band and with Eagle Rock Entertainment, streaming exclusively on YouTube.
