Billie Eilish gets behind the driver’s (and director’s seat) in the latest music video for her hit single, ‘Everything I Wanted’.

In the new visual, Eilish and her brother and musical collaborator, Finneas drive around California landscapes before heading straight into the ocean, Thelma and Louise style.

“My brother and I wrote this song about each other and I wanted to create a visual that emphasizes that no matter what, we’ll be there for each other through everything,” Eilish said in a statement. “This is the second video I’ve directed of mine. We worked so hard, for hours and hours on end.”

The Eilish-directed video also begins with a personal statement from the singer that flashes on screen:

“Finneas is my brother and my best friend. No matter the circumstance, we always have and always will be there for each other.”

Eilish first dropped the single back in November, offering a revealing look on how the 18-year-old pop star grapples with fame:

“I had a dream/I got everything I wanted/Not what you’d think/And if I’m bein’ honest/It might’ve been a nightmare,” she sings in the intro.

This also marked the first new music Eilish has released following her No.1 album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.

The singer-songwriter also went into more detail behind the origin of the song in a previous interview with Annie Mac at BBC Radio 1.

“Pretty much that whole song is about me and Finneas’ relationship as siblings. We started writing it because I literally had a dream that I killed myself and nobody cared and all of my best friends and people that I worked with basically came out in public and said, like, “Oh, we never liked her.” In the dream, the fans didn’t care. The internet sh__t on me for killing myself, all this stuff, and it really did mess me up.”

This Sunday, Eilish is scheduled to perform at the 2020 Grammy Awards where she’s up for nominations in six categories: When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, ‘Bad Guy’ for Record and Song of the Year as well as Best Pop Solo Performance and Best New Artist.
