Hear Josh Ross’ New Single ‘Kicked Out Of Bars’
The track was written with Matt Geroux, Mason Thronley, Joe Fox and Brad Rempel.
Josh Ross has released his new single “Kicked Out Of Bars” through Universal Music Canada, MCA and CORE Records. The track pairs country hooks with rock-driven production and an upbeat tempo, giving the Canadian singer a new release for the final stretch of summer.

Ross wrote “Kicked Out Of Bars” with Matt Geroux, Mason Thronley, Joe Fox and Brad Rempel, a group of collaborators he has worked with frequently, with Geroux producing the track in Nashville. Ross said the song felt natural from the writing session and drew on a situation familiar to many listeners. “It’s one of those songs almost everyone can relate to, whether you’ve been the one getting kicked out or you’ve got a buddy who has,” he said. Ross added that he wanted to release something upbeat to close out the summer, noting that fans have already been singing along when the song appears in his live shows.
The single follows a run of radio and streaming milestones for Ross, whose catalog has now surpassed 1.5 billion global streams. His songs “Single Again” and “Hate How You Look” each reached No. 1 at both Canadian and U.S. Country radio. Those back-to-back chart leaders made Ross the first solo male Canadian country artist in nearly 50 years to score consecutive No. 1 singles at U.S. Country radio.
Ross is a co-leading nominee for the 2026 CCMA Awards with seven nominations, after previous CCMA wins that include Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the Year. Following his summer festival schedule in Canada and the U.S., he is set to play a run of UK headline dates, with Darius Rucker giving “Kicked Out Of Bars” its First Spin on BBC Radio 2 ahead of the shows. Ross will then join Dan + Shay on The Young Tour this fall. He is also scheduled to return to Ontario for the remaining Canadian headline dates on his Later Tonight Tour.
