Capitol Records/UMe and Frank Sinatra Enterprises will mark the 60th anniversary of Frank Sinatra’s first live album, Sinatra at the Sands, with a 2LP vinyl reissue, a five-CD archival set, and Dolby Atmos versions on October 23, 2026. The Vinylphyle edition is pressed on 180gm black vinyl, while Sinatra at the Sands 60th Anniversary presents five complete shows from Sinatra’s sold-out 1966 Copa Room residency with Count Basie & The Orchestra, arranged and conducted by Quincy Jones.

The Vinylphyle edition features 2026 mixes by longtime Sinatra engineer Larry Walsh and mastering by Joe Nino-Hernes at Sterling Sound. Its gatefold packaging follows the original design and adds an insert of never-before-seen residency photos and new liner notes by author Charles Pignone, alongside Stan Cornyn’s Grammy-winning original notes.

The 5CD set comes in a digipak with an alternate cover based on the original Vegas residency poster, along with band personnel, eyewitness quotes, and rare photos showing Sinatra with Basie and Jones during preparations on the Las Vegas Strip. While the original Sinatra at the Sands 2LP set was compiled from various shows, this edition showcases five complete, previously unreleased performances from the iconic residency, which ran from January 26, 1966–February 1, 1966.

The original Sinatra at the Sands reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200, earned Gold certification from the RIAA, and has accumulated tens of millions of streams. Sinatra later described working with Basie and Quincy as “probably the most exciting engagement I have ever done in my life.”

Recent Sinatra-related activity has included the March 27, 2026 Tone Poet vinyl reissue of 1956’s Songs For Swingin’ Lovers!, marking the Capitol album’s 70th anniversary. Sinatra The Musical, produced by Universal Music Group Theatrical and Frank Sinatra Enterprises, began West End performances at London’s Aldwych Theatre on June 3, 2026. In 2025, UMe and Frank Sinatra Enterprises also released The Giants Of Jazz, a double-vinyl set pairing Sinatra’s collaborations with Count Basie and Duke Ellington.
