Emma Ogier Releases New Single ‘Keep You’
The Lost Highway Records release is an homage to Joni Mitchell’s ‘Coyote’ and explores romantic uncertainty.
Emma Ogier has released a new single “Keep You” via Lost Highway Records. The track is an homage to Joni Mitchell’s “Coyote,” using that song as a reference point for a contemporary story about desire, uncertainty and the push and pull between two people who do not fully state what they want.

“Keep You” follows several singles Ogier has released in 2026, including “Believing,” “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” and “Rocksteady/HeavyMetal.” She is also working on her debut album. Ogier began writing songs during the pandemic while she was a teenager in Houston. Her recent material has incorporated country, alternative and indie-pop elements.
Ogier also has a run of live dates ahead. She will support Whitney on select dates of the band’s fall tour, which begins September 14 at The Pyramid Scheme in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is scheduled to perform at Austin City Limits Music Festival on October 3, then join Hovvdy for the first leg of their North American tour, including an October 20 show at Sid The Cat Auditorium in Los Angeles. Over the summer, she also performed with Bright Eyes during shows marking the 21st anniversaries of I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn.
In the week before the single’s release, Ogier joined Dominic Fike onstage during his headline show at Hayden Homes Amphitheater in Bend, Oregon, where they performed his song “Small Town.” Fike later posted a video from the show titled “This is Emma Ogier,” which includes Ogier performing “Baby Don’t Hurt Me.”
