Listen To Josh Ross’ ‘Drink Things Through’
The Nashville-produced track was co-written by Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger and three other songwriters.
Josh Ross has released a new single “Drink Things Through” via Universal Music Canada / MCA / CORE Records. Produced by Matt Geroux in Nashville, the country-rock track was written by Chad Kroeger, Mitchy Collins, Lazz Principato and Jeremy “Kinetics” Dussolliet.

Ross began teasing “Drink Things Through” on social media before adding the then-unreleased song to his live sets this fall. Discussing the track, Ross said, “‘Drink Things Through’ is such a fun song, and I’ve been a huge fan of Chad for a long time, so getting to record a song he wrote is pretty special for me. It’s big, it’s a blast to play live, and the response we’ve already gotten from fans has been incredible. I’m really excited to finally get this one out there and let everyone have some fun with it.”
The release follows Ross’ third consecutive Single of the Year win at the 2026 CCMA Awards, where “Hate How You Look” took the prize and was also named Top Selling Canadian Single of the Year. Ross has now surpassed 1.6 billion global streams, with a catalogue that includes “Trouble,” “Single Again” and “Hate How You Look.” Both “Single Again” and “Hate How You Look” reached No. 1 at U.S. and Canadian country radio, making Ross the first solo male Canadian country artist in nearly 50 years to score consecutive U.S. Country Radio No. 1s.
Ross’ debut EP, Complicated, won Country Album of the Year at the 2025 JUNO Awards. Its track “Trouble” is certified Double Platinum in Canada and Platinum by the RIAA in the U.S.; “Single Again” is 3x Platinum in Canada and RIAA Gold, while “Hate How You Look” is Platinum in Canada. After recently completing a UK headline tour, Ross is on the road in the U.S. with Dan + Shay this fall before returning to Ontario for the remaining Canadian headline dates on his Later Tonight Tour.
