KISS have shared a newly remastered performance video of “Makin’ Love” from the band’s April 2, 1977, afternoon show at Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan. The footage has been remastered in HD by Andrew Sgambati, while the audio was newly mixed by original album producer and engineer Eddie Kramer from the concert’s multitrack analog tapes. The release connects a live performance from the band’s first tour of Japan with the 50th anniversary campaign for Rock And Roll Over, the 1976 album that includes “Makin’ Love.”

The band’s April 1977 performances in Japan are also represented in the forthcoming anniversary collection, which draws selections from four nights at the Tokyo venue. Kramer recorded the concerts nearly 50 years ago, and he has now mixed the live material from the original multitrack recordings. The anniversary collection also revisits the studio album: its Super Deluxe editions include the original 1976 mix, newly remastered, and a new stereo mix by Kramer. Across the 6LP and 4CD Super Deluxe configurations, the collection brings together 130 tracks, including 100 previously unreleased tracks and mixes, alongside live recordings, demos, outtakes and other archival material. The box sets are scheduled for release on Nov. 6.

The anniversary campaign also includes a standalone premium color vinyl edition of Rock And Roll Over. The limited-edition pressing comes in an embossed foil-laminate jacket with metallic gold ink details, along with the original printed sleeve updated with 50th anniversary gold ink and a new 20-by-30-inch poster.
