AFI is marking the 25th anniversary of their All Hallow’s EP, and they’re doing it just in time for Halloween. On October 4th, the band will drop two versions of their 1999 cult classic: one pressing in Spectral Pink, and another limited variant in Lantern Light yellow. Keeping with the seasonal theme, the limited-edition cover art boasts glow-in-the-dark ink, reimagined, neon-bright cover art, and a coffin-shaped, fold-out poster. The record is available for preorder now.

All Hallow’s EP was AFI’s second project of 1999, coming just months after their album Black Sails In The Sunset helped to significantly raise their profile across the globe. The follow-up EP features just four songs, and the project clocks in at 13 minutes. While all four tracks certainly have their fans, including the well-known cover of The Misfits’ “Halloween,” it’s “The Boy Who Destroyed The World” that will likely be the most recognizable, thanks to its placement on 2001’s Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3.

AFI—an acronym for “A Fire Inside”—formed as a hardcore act in California in 1991. High school students Davey Havok and Adam Carson spent the 90s building a following, first in the Bay Area and then far beyond, particularly after their 1995 debut Answer That And Stay Fashionable. After signing to Nitro Records, their upward trajectory continued with the release of 1997’s Shut Your Mouth And Open Your Eyes and 1998’s A Fire Inside, as well as with the inclusion of Hunter Burgan on bass and Jade Puget on guitar. In the 2000s, the success continued with the Platinum-selling albums Sing The Sorrow and Decemberunderground in 2003 and 2006, respectively, while their single “Miss Murder” became their highest-charting ever in 2006. In 2021, the band released their 11th album, Bodies.
