Henderson framed the track as an entry point into the wider project. “This song is the grand spiral staircase into the album. I wanted it to leave the listener with no choice but to be curious about where the rest of the project goes,” he said. “dumblond” follows previously released bleach tracks “freak for you,” “NSFW” and “i wanna be your girl.” The album explores sex, masculinity, desire and self-discovery while combining Henderson’s alternative pop and rock influences.
The release follows Henderson’s appearance at the 2026 MTV VMAs and comes as he prepares for his biggest headline tour to date. The 48-date ‘dumblond’ Tour will begin February 18, 2027, in Dublin, with 24 shows across the UK and Europe. The itinerary includes stops in London, Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Milan and Madrid.
A 24-date North American leg will start April 5 in Santa Ana, California, and visit Houston, Nashville, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Denver, Seattle and San Francisco. The tour concludes May 15 at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. Henderson previously toured internationally as an opening act for 5 Seconds of Summer.
Based in Los Angeles, Henderson is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer whose music combines distorted guitars, hip-hop drums, R&B influences and pop production. Before bleach, he released the projects lover boy in 2024 and tension in 2025.
