Isabel Dumaa Shares ‘James Dean’ Ahead of ‘Reverie’ EP
The EP features production from Sammy Witte, Dave Cobb and Joshua Murty, with arrangements by Rob Moose.
Isabel Dumaa has released “James Dean,” the latest preview of her forthcoming EP, Reverie, due October 23. The track arrives after the previously released “All American” and “You Don’t Know Me.”

Dumaa said the song focuses on recognizing when a relationship cannot become what one person hoped it would be. “For me, the essence of ‘James Dean’ lies in the line ‘I’m not who you want, that’s not who you are.’ The song is about facing the inevitable downfall of a relationship, because you have fallen for their potential, and in the end, they’re just not that into you.”
Reverie will be Dumaa’s first release since partnering with Lucille Records/Republic Records and serves as her major label debut. She worked on the EP with producers Sammy Witte, whose credits include Harry Styles; Dave Cobb, who has worked with Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile; and Joshua Murty, whose credits include Jonas Brothers. Rob Moose, known for work with Lana Del Rey and Bon Iver, contributed instrumentation and arrangements to the project.
Dumaa will support the release with three U.S. shows this fall. She is scheduled to perform at Mercury Lounge in New York on October 28, Beat Kitchen in Chicago on November 4 and the Masonic Lodge in Los Angeles on November 11.
The EP follows a busy stretch of touring for Dumaa. She spent much of 2025 on the road opening for Sam Smith, Benson Boone and Teddy Swims, and has since built an audience of more than 800,000 followers across social platforms. Her earlier releases include the singles “Quarter Life Crisis” and “C’est La Vie,” which preceded the new Reverie material.
