Country heavyweights Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker have been announced as hosts of the 54th Annual CMA Awards. The show and ceremony will take place at Music City Center in downtown Nashville on Wednesday, November 11, airing from 8pm-11pm EST on ABC.
McEntire has six CMA Awards to her name in her glittering career, while Rucker won as New Artist of the Year at the 2009 event. It’ll be Reba’s fifth time hosting the CMAs, and Darius’ first. The pair came together this morning (5) to announce the news on ABC’s Good Morning America, as you can see here:
“Country Music’s Biggest Night,” as it’s known, willl feature the genre’s biggest artists and performances, and the pair are promising a fun evening. “I’m thrilled to be back hosting the CMA Awards and even more thrilled that I get to share the stage with Darius Rucker,” says McEntire. “We’re looking forward to a night of celebrating great country music and hope you’ll tune in and watch!”
