Sugababes’ original line-up has been announced to headline next year’s Mighty Hoopla festival in the UK.

Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy will top the bill on the first day of the London festival, which will expand to two days in 2022.

The iconic British girl band will perform to approximately 50,000 fans at the festival, which takes place in Brockwell Park between June 3-4, 2022. It will bring with it era-defining hits like “Overload”, “Hole In The Head”, “Freak Like Me”, “Round Round” and “Push The Button”.

Tickets for the festival are on sale now, starting from £59.50 plus booking fee, and are available to purchase here.

The original line-up of Sugababes formed in 1998, with all three members leaving in the 2000s before reuniting in 2012 as Mutya Keisha Siobhan. In 2019, the group reclaimed its original band name.

Earlier this year, Sugababes announced plans to release an expanded reissue of its acclaimed debut album One Touch, featuring demos, rarities, and remixes of the original tracks. The latter will be transformed by other artists including Blood Orange, Metronomy, and MNEK.

Speaking to NME earlier this year, the group discussed its plans to release new music, saying it had been recording before the UK went into lockdown during the Covid pandemic. “We’ve got so much material that we need to work through,” Donaghy told the publication.

“We probably need to do a little more recording. As soon as we can get back together in the studio, we’re going to work on something fresh. But there’s a lot of material that I feel we should collate together because it’s some of our best work ever and it would be a shame for it not to be released properly.”

Buchanan added that the band had already recorded a track that is “quite interesting,” explaining that she hadn’t “felt that excited about a song since [2013 single] ‘Flatline’.”
