“Escatawpa Hollow” takes its name from a place near the Mississippi state line that holds personal significance for members Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton. “We love taking listeners to places they’ve never been before,” the duo said. “These locales might not mean much to most people, but they’re very important to us.” Built around prominent guitars and a mix of country and heartland-rock elements, the single is accompanied by an official music video.
The release follows Muscadine Bloodline’s first CMA Awards nomination, for Vocal Duo of the Year at the 60th Annual CMA Awards. The duo have surpassed two billion career streams and earned multiple Platinum and Gold certifications, including Platinum certifications for “Me On You” and “Porch Swing Angel” and Gold certification for “Pieces,” featuring Lainey Wilson. Muncaster and Stanton formed Muscadine Bloodline in 2015 and spent more than a decade releasing music independently before entering the Trenches Records/Republic Records partnership. Their touring history has also included support slots with Post Malone, Lainey Wilson and Turnpike Troubadours.
More recently, Muscadine Bloodline supported Ella Langley on select dates of The Dandelion Tour. Langley joined the duo on stage for stripped-back performances of “Porch Swing Angel” and “Enemy,” extending a run of live activity that will continue into the fall. Muscadine Bloodline are scheduled to appear on dates with The Red Clay Strays and Turnpike Troubadours, as well as at several festivals.
