After slaying Nashville critics with his talent, the singer-songwriter faces a different kind of foe, going to battle against LEGO ninjas and dragons.

In addition to Stapleton, his wife Morgane and other family members also appear in LEGO form, along with Stapleton’s band, including producer Dave Cobb. The video also includes a cameo by Stapleton admirer and friend Chris Pratt, who lent his voice to both The Lego Movie in 2014 and its 2019 sequel.

When it came to the concept, Stapleton teamed up with the LEGO Group and Pure Imagination Studios producer and director David Coleman to bring the idea to life.

“We wanted to do something fun for this song and it always sounded like a fight scene to me, so we approached The LEGO Group with this idea and a rough outline of what we wanted to do,” said Stapleton in a statement.

“Once The LEGO Group gave us the green light, David Coleman and the team at Pure Imagination took that outline and refined and built it into what it has become.”

The results are impressive to say the least, with every detail considered from Stapleton’s feathered hatband to bass player JT Cure’s glasses and took “thousands of hours of work” to complete.

‘Second One to Know’ comes from Stapleton’s 2017 album, From A Room: Volume 1. Stapleton recently appeared on Sheryl Crow’s new album Threads, where the two duet on the single, ‘Tell Me When It’s Over’.

He also joined up with Brothers Osborne on their new track, ‘Get Down to Arkansas’. While there’s no official news of a new album, Stapleton has been teasing new material during his recently wrapped All-American Road Show Tour. He’s also scheduled to play Keith Urban’s All for the Hall benefit on 10 February in Nashville and has a series of headlining stadium shows with Willie Nelson on 14 March in Arlington, Texas, and 25 April in Lexington, Kentucky.
