Peter Frampton Announces Spring 2020 UK Shows On Farewell Tour

Peter Frampton has announced five UK shows next spring on his Peter Frampton Finale – The Farewell Tour excursion. They’ll begin in Edinburgh on 24 May 2020, closing with a night in his home town at the Royal Albert Hall on London on 31 May.
Tickets for the itinerary will go on sale on Wednesday (18) at 10am local time. VIP packages are available at www.frampton.com.

“I look forward to seeing my dear friends in the UK next year,” says Frampton. “My Finale Tour is a trip through my music with my incredible Peter Frampton Band.”
The widely-acclaimed North American leg of the tour concluded in October, and the new UK dates will mark its conclusion. Frampton then plans to retire from regular vigorous touring due to his diagnosis with the autoimmune disease Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM). The progressive muscle disorder is characterised by muscle inflammation, weakness and atrophy.
“Maybe this won’t be the last we see of Frampton in Florida,” wrote the Tampa Bay Times of his September show there. “He could very well pop up at a festival or something down the road. As long as his body holds up, he’s got the chops and more than enough enthusiasm. But if the clock’s really ticking, at least he’s going out his way.”
As well as classic songs from his epic career, notably the signature songs from his Frampton Comes Alive album of 1976 (which now has worldwide sales of some 17 million), the master guitarist will feature material from the Peter Frampton Band’s current All Blues album in the shows.
The album spent 15 weeks atop Billboard‘s Blues Albums Chart and was recorded with Frampton’s longtime touring band, featuring Adam Lester (guitar/vocals), Rob Arthur (keyboards/guitar/vocals) and Dan Wojciechowski (drums). Recorded at Frampton’s Studio Phenix in Nashville, it was co-produced by Frampton and Chuck Ainlay and includes collaborations with Kim Wilson, Larry Carlton, Sonny Landreth and Steve Morse.
