Alternative pop musician Amelia Moore is back with her third release of the year, “Crybaby.” On the record, the singer and songwriter commits to emotional transparency, wearing her heart on her sleeve as she questions the root of her constant heartache: “Do you like to make me cry, baby?”

“Oh, see it now for what it really is / In your bed and you out on the fence / Take it all when all I do is give / Love and war, what’s the difference?” she sings. “I showed you my flaws when I thought you cared / Using them against me, that s–t ain’t fair / Do you care, did you ever care? I need to know.”

“Crybaby” finds Moore teaming up with frequent collaborators Pink Slip and Inverness, who served as producers on the track. The release follows her earlier offerings of the year, “Moves” and “Vinegar.”

The track was originally teased on TikTok, where Moore boasts an audience of over half a million users under the handle icryatwork. The snippet teaser received over 1.2 million views since its March 30 upload.

“This is for anyone who has dated a narcissist. This is my 4th single and I think my favorite yet,” she wrote on the app ahead of the song’s release. “Let’s all listen to it together and cry.”

TikTok has been an essential launching pad for Moore who released her first single “Sweet and Sour” last October. In an interview with EARMILK, she shared: “Every day as an artist, there is the opportunity for people to fall in love with my music. I think the industry has changed so much, and being an artist right now is way more about a lot of what happens outside of the studio, and social media is a part of being an artist right now.”

She adds: “I’m proud of myself for putting in the work and not taking any shortcuts. I feel like I’ve spent the last three years developing my sound with Pink Slip and with other producers and writers that I’ve met along the way. And now that I have the music, I’m just really excited to get it all out there. It’s all coming to fruition.”
