Big Sean Celebrates Anniversary Of ‘Dark Sky Paradise’ With New Vinyl, Merch
The rapper’s third studio album, which features hit collaborations with Drake, John Legend, E-40, and more is celebrating its 10th birthday with a 2LP version of the LP.
Big Sean is celebrating the 10th anniversary of his third studio album Dark Sky Paradise with a vinyl pressing and capsule merch collection. The deluxe version will arrive on a 2LP Silver smoke disc.
The rapper’s multi platinum 2015 album, out via GOOD Music and Def Jam Recordings, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. All five of the album’s singles appeared on the Billboard Hot 100. The Dark Sky Paradise anniversary merch includes a t-shirt with lyrics from “Play No Games” and another with lyrics from “Blessings,” an “IDFWU” jersey, a black shirt with the album artwork and tracklist, and a Don Life hoodie and trucker hat.
Big Sean acknowledged the 10th anniversary of Dark Sky Paradise on Instagram, writing: “The album that changed it all for me! 10 years!!! I just want to say thank you so much, Im actually in NY shooting videos n working, which is where i was 10 years ago when this album dropped and honestly Life has never been lining up and feeling so meant to be, through the ups, downs, all of it is amazing. I can’t even lie, this mufukin album had such a impact on me n my family, i wanna celebrate all year, I owe yall so much!!!!!!! Im turnt right now!”
Last year, Big Sean released his sixth album, Better Me than You. The record features appearances from Cash Cobain, DJ Premier, Ellie Goulding, Gunna, Syd, Teyana Taylor, The Alchemist, Thundercat, and many more. It marks the rapper’s first solo studio project since 2020’s Detroit 2.
In January, Big Sean released his first book, Go Higher, out via Simon and Schuster. In this “spiritual guidebook,” the rapper shares key practices for self-care and self-acceptance while maintaining daily mental wellness. Big Sean recently promoted the book on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
