BADLANDS was released on August 28th, 2015. Since that date, the album has sold over 3 million albums-adjusted in the US, and has accumulated over 9 Billion on-demand streams worldwide. It is one of the only albums in music history to have every song certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum by the RIAA.
The album anniversary is also being honored with the release of the BADLANDS Decade Edition Anthology, a 3LP vinyl set. The 33-song collection features five newly unearthed BADLANDS Orchestral Versions, demos, rarities, remixes, and the full Deluxe Album. The set has been pressed on “Hurricane Swirl,” “Roman Holiday Blush,” and “Everything Is Blue” colored vinyl with all-new artwork celebrating a decade of Badlands.
Earlier this month, Halsey also released a new music video for the BADLANDS fan favorite, “Gasoline.” Originally released as part of the album’s deluxe edition, the track has become BADLANDS’ most-streamed song on Spotify, notching nearly half a billion streams since it was released in 2015.
