‘room enough’ Previews Chad Lawson’s Forthcoming ‘Hush’
The track previews the pianist and composer’s 10-track meditative collection ‘Hush.’
Chad Lawson has released “room enough,” the second single from his forthcoming album hush, on August 7. The 10-track album is built around meditative piano pieces that favor delicate melodies, spacious harmonies, and extended pauses. “room enough” follows the same restrained approach, using sparse phrasing and silence as central parts of the arrangement rather than filling every measure with sound. The release is available now, with hush also open for pre-order.

Lawson says the guiding idea behind hush was to make something that did not feel like another obligation. “Most things ask you to add something: another habit, another app, one more way to improve. This only asks you to put something down,” he says. He adds that he wanted the album to feel “effortless, softer than silence almost,” and to offer space for listeners who arrive at the end of the day with little energy left.
That focus on rest and emotional wellbeing fits Lawson’s broader work at the intersection of music and wellness. Alongside his recording career, he is a Yoga Alliance-certified breathwork educator and serves as the World Federation for Mental Health Representative to the WHO Regional Office for the Americas for 2025-2027. He previously served as a UN Ambassador for the World Federation for Mental Health. His releases have also aligned with World Mental Health Day, World Sleep Day, National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and the inaugural International Day of Hope, connecting his piano catalog with public conversations around rest, recovery and mental health.
Lawson currently has two albums on Billboard’s Classical Albums chart, according to the release, while his wellness-focused catalog has been streamed more than 1.3 billion times. In 2025 alone, the catalog generated 272.7 million streams. NPR has described his music as “an invitation to decompress,” and Variety has included him among artists “lead[ing] the wave of music for slumber and relaxation.” Lawson is also a Steinway-endorsed pianist and composer, a relationship that sits alongside a decade-plus career centered on contemporary classical piano and wellness-focused releases.
