5 Seconds of Summer Release ‘Evolve CLUBSOS VOL. 1’
The dancefloor reworking of the album track was first previewed during the band’s Lollapalooza set.
5 Seconds of Summer have released “Evolve CLUBSOS VOL. 1,” a new reworking of “Evolve” from their latest album, EVERYONE’S A STAR!. The track arrives after the band previewed the reimagined version during its recent Lollapalooza set, where Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin performed 25 feet above a crowd of 100,000 on specially produced lifts. The performance introduced the dance-focused version of the song before its official release.

“Evolve CLUBSOS VOL. 1” shifts the original album track into a club-oriented setting, recasting the song. The release marks the first installment of CLUBSOS, a new strand within the 5 Seconds of Summer project built around reworked material for a dance setting. The CLUBSOS idea was first launched at 5 Seconds of Summer’s Lollapalooza aftershow at The Salt Shed in Chicago. According to the press release, fans responded across social media after the Salt Shed show with calls for more CLUBSOS material. “Evolve CLUBSOS VOL. 1” now brings that live concept into a standalone release and establishes CLUBSOS as an ongoing dance-oriented extension of the band’s current work.
Released on November 14, 2025, EVERYONE’S A STAR! is 5 Seconds of Summer’s sixth studio album and became the band’s fourth UK No. 1 album the following week. The 12-track EVERYONE’S A STAR! includes “NOT OK,” “Telephone Busy,” “Boyband” and “Evolve.” The band is spending 2026 on the EVERYONE’S A STAR! World Tour, with Australian and New Zealand dates scheduled for October and November. Confirmed stops include Spark Arena in Auckland on October 24, Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on October 30, Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on November 2 and Kings Park in Perth on November 6.
