The seven-track project features new single ‘GiRL AMERiCA’ and production by Zach Fogarty.
skuzland have announced their debut EP, OTW, due September 18 via Republic Records. The pair comprises Jazzelle, who performs as Ugly Worldwide, and Robot MoonJuice. The seven-track project was written entirely by Jazzelle and Robot, with Zach Fogarty serving as executive producer on all tracks. Fogarty’s credits include work with A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples and Fousheé. The announcement arrives with the new single “GiRL AMERiCA,” which is out now.

Jazzelle and Robot wrote “GiRL AMERiCA” after the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the subsequent enforcement of abortion bans in a number of states. The song channels their response to that political moment through a punk-leaning arrangement and scream-sung vocals, with the release citing punk and Riot Grrrl as touchstones for political resistance. The chorus centers on a refusal to surrender rights without a fight. “Our bodily autonomy? Challenged. Our safety? Challenged. Our rights? Challenged,” skuzland said, describing the song as a response to repeated political and personal threats.
The duo describe OTW as a project shaped by vulnerability, survival, self-discovery and the feeling of not fitting in. Jazzelle said the process became an inward journey and that making music, despite being new to them, felt unexpectedly natural. They added that they hope the record encourages listeners to embrace vulnerability as a way of discovering parts of themselves. Robot called OTW “a gift to my inner child,” saying the EP combines positive and difficult experiences and is intended for people who feel they do not belong. Skuzland also joined Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s New Music Daily podcast to discuss the project and “GiRL AMERiCA.”
Last month, skuzland released “STEREO,” the first single from OTW, with a music video directed by Luis Villanueva. The clip uses a surreal, dreamlike visual treatment. Villanueva’s other credits include Noah Cyrus and Saint Levant. Earlier this summer, Mighty Hoopla in London hosted skuzland’s first-ever festival performance. Paris Men’s Fashion Week also featured appearances from the duo during the same stretch of international activity.
