Bo Staloch Announces ‘Too Big, Too Big’ EP
The eight-song EP includes recent singles ‘Masks,’ ‘From a Different Age’ and ‘I Won’t Be There Waiting For You.’
Bo Staloch has announced his eight-song EP Too Big, Too Big, due November 6 via Capitol Records. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter, who was born in Austin and is based in Nashville, created the project in close collaboration with producer Brad Cook.
Written and recorded over a period of months at Cook’s Puff City home studio in Durham, North Carolina, Too Big, Too Big features a compact group of collaborators. The sessions included Megafaun multi-instrumentalist Phil Cook, Twin Peaks guitarist Colin Croom, Hippo Campus guitarist Nathan Stocker, Bon Iver drummer Matt McCaughan and Mipso violinist Libby Rodenbough. Brad Cook also contributed bass and synth. Musically, the set draws on alt-folk, baroque pop and indie rock.
The EP includes Staloch’s three most recent singles. “I Won’t Be There Waiting For You” centers on a fading friendship, while the piano-led “Masks” takes a more restrained approach. July’s “From a Different Age” uses a loud-quiet-loud arrangement; Staloch later performed the song at Rolling Stone Stateside’s Fourth of July festival in New York.

The title Too Big, Too Big reflects the weight of approaching a new chapter in life. Across the project, Staloch writes about young love, changing friendships and hope in difficult moments, drawing on personal observations, stories of people he knows and imagined characters. He recently previewed material from the EP through impromptu public performances and open-mic appearances in New York City.
Staloch is also scheduled to perform both weekends of Austin City Limits Music Festival, on October 2 and 9. Earlier in 2026, he co-headlined an EU and UK acoustic tour with Abby Powledge, with the pair releasing “Falling Slowly (Live From London)” after the run. His 2025 activity included the EP The Garden, tours with John Vincent III, Houndmouth and Ashe, an opening slot for Zach Bryan at London’s Hyde Park, his Lollapalooza debut and his first North American headline tour. Between projects, he also released the singles “Angelina,” “Born To” and “Eastside,” working with Elie Rizk, Jackson Shanks, Sam Nelson Harris and Andrew Wells.
