Listen to Fujii Kaze’s ‘You’ Featuring UMI

Fujii Kaze has released “You (feat. UMI),” a new version of the song from his third album, Prema, via Universal Music Japan / Republic Records. The release arrives with a visualizer featuring Kaze and UMI that was filmed in Japan, as well as a four-track You EP containing the collaboration, an a cappella version, an instrumental version and the original recording.

The two artists previously performed Kaze’s “Michi Teyu Ku (Overflowing)” together in Los Angeles in 2025. For the new recording of “You,” UMI rewrote the second verse and added vocals, turning the song into a duet with a stronger R&B emphasis. UMI said the collaboration grew from the pair’s friendship and conversations about music. “We talk often about the power of music as a messenger of love & ‘You’ is a reflection of that,” she said. Kaze also singled out UMI’s contribution, saying, “I always knew she was gonna slay on this track anyway, but I could never imagine it being this celestial.”

Kaze recently released the official video for the original version of “You,” filmed in Incheon, Korea, ahead of his sold-out performance at Gocheok Sky Dome. The clip features choreography by Korean choreographer Che Yubina.

Earlier in 2026, Kaze won four honors at MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN, including Album of the Year for Prema, Best R&B / Contemporary Song, Best R&B / Contemporary Artist and Best Long Hit Album. He also collaborated with UK artist Elmiene on “Comets + Gold,” which the pair debuted live in a surprise performance at Summer Sonic.

Kaze signed with Republic Records in 2024, the same year he toured the U.S. for the first time with solo piano shows in New York and Los Angeles and performed a two-day concert at Nissan Stadium that drew 140,000 people. His current live plans include nine stadium shows across Taiwan, Korea and Japan. He has also announced Fujii Kaze PIANO RECITAL, a two-night solo piano concert at Tokyo Dome.
