Quavo developed QRÖMELIFE closely with Pharrell over more than a year and a half, recording during sessions that included Louis Vuitton headquarters in Paris and a yacht in Miami. The project brings together several strands of Quavo’s music, from the melodic approach heard throughout his solo career to the Atlanta sound he helped popularize as a member of Migos, alongside ideas developed through years of collaborations and experimentation.

The album also draws on experiences that have shaped Quavo in recent years, including grief and loss following the death of Takeoff. Those themes were explored in a short film released ahead of the album, which looks back on different stages of Quavo’s life and career. In one sequence, Takeoff appears on screen with a message encouraging him to ignore outside noise and continue moving forward. Later scenes show Pharrell telling Quavo that his circumstances are about to change before the film closes with Quavo embracing his daughter.

The rollout for QRÖMELIFE began in Paris with “HAAVIN,” which debuted as the opening soundtrack to Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2027 Men’s Show. Quavo followed the track with “Trance” before returning to Atlanta to premiere “Backwards,” featuring T.I., during a live performance at WWE’s Sunday Night Main Event.
