Released through The Core Records/Capitol, the track was written by Lynn, Madison Kozak, Sam Sumser, and Sean Small, with production by AJ Pruis. Its central idea comes through in the line, “I can never wanna see you again / And still be happy that we met.” The single follows “Lucky To Be Loved,” which arrived in July.

“‘Happy That We Met’ is about loving the wrong person so much that even when it’s time to say goodbye, you can still be grateful for the time and memories shared. I hold this song close to my heart and it’s my favorite to perform live. I hope you love it just as much as I do,” says Lynn.

The Nashville-based singer-songwriter grew up in Greeneville, Tennessee, in a family of musicians. She taught herself guitar at six, later took up piano, and began singing in church with her parents before writing her first song at 13. Lynn made her recording debut in summer 2025 with “Cautiously Optimistic.” Her debut EP, Heart On My Sleeve, followed in March 2026 and was expanded in May. Another song, “That’s What I’ll Be,” appeared on Nobody Wants This Season 2: The Soundtrack.

Lynn has also performed across North America supporting Maddox Batson, followed by recent opening dates for Redferrin. Her upcoming appearances include a Backstage Nashville writers’ round on October 24 and a performance at The Listening Room Cafe on November 21.
