Ebrahimi reunites with producers Alexander 23, whose credits include Olivia Rodrigo and Reneé Rapp, and Shane Pielocik. Together, they build the track around a live-band sound, with distorted guitars and crashing drums accompanying vocals that move from quiet passages to screams. The song explores the tension between an all-consuming relationship and the desire to pursue personal ambitions, with lyrics that turn longing into anger. “Why can’t I be in love without falling apart? / Where do you go when you’re not in my arms?” she sings in the chorus.
The accompanying video takes an informal approach, following Ebrahimi through her apartment and nearby outdoor spaces. Its grainy footage shows her dancing indoors, smoking on a fire escape, and performing in an alley with pigeons nearby.
Her six-track debut EP focused on the aftermath of a relationship, moving among synth-pop, dance-punk, guitar-driven rock, and acoustic arrangements. It includes her independently released song “planet you forgot me,” a six-minute account of post-breakup longing, alongside “I’m Sorry Maria,” “i’m a little flower,” and “I Know You’re The Moon.” Across the project, Ebrahimi pairs conversational vocal passages with shouted delivery and recurring lyrical themes.
Ebrahimi’s live appearances have included headline shows at Hollywood’s School Night and Brooklyn’s Union Pool, where she previously worked as a barback while making music. She has also performed at Del Water Gap’s New Haven homecoming concert, New York’s GIRL NOISE festival, and a sold-out Wet Leg show in Las Vegas. Her touring schedule has included Holly Humberstone’s Cruel World Tour, with Australia’s Spilt Milk festival series and select support dates for Remi Wolf scheduled for December.
