The song examines the emotional burdens people bring into relationships, including grief, anxiety about the future, and the possibility of finding support in another person. Drawing on Lima’s experiences of loss, heartbreak, and connection, it introduces themes that run through the forthcoming record: how those feelings can keep someone from moving forward, and how sharing them can change what seems possible.
For Your World Is Big Enough, Lima turns to the Greek myth of Perseus and Andromeda to frame a conflict between exploration and commitment. The album follows two characters with different relationships to the wider world. One can travel freely, while grief and fear keep the other in place. Their story considers the desire to experience life beyond familiar surroundings alongside the wish to build a home with someone. As they learn to share what they carry, the life they have made together begins to offer a greater sense of possibility.
The project follows Lima’s debut studio album, To Love A Thing That Fades, which used the story of Orpheus and Eurydice across 15 tracks to address love, loss, and hope. Lima is also supporting Irish folk band Amble on a North American tour, with stops including Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville.
