The release follows GIRLSET’s performance at the ‘82WORLD’ Festival and its opening appearances on select dates of Cantrall’s “The Valley Girl Problem Tour.” At those shows, the group debuted “young & dumb,” an unreleased song that gave audiences an early look at new material. GIRLSET is also nominated with streamer Cinna in the Best Mainstream Collab category at the Streamer Awards. Voting for the collaboration is open through Saturday, October 31.

“Glown Up” adds to a run of singles that began with “Commas,” the group’s 2025 debut, followed by “Little Miss,” “Tweak,” and “CHAT.” GIRLSET has said its debut album is in the works. The four members, Camila, Kendall, Lexi, and Savanna, first met as contestants on A2K, a show produced by JYP Entertainment and Republic Records. They formed the group VCHA before regrouping as GIRLSET in 2025.

Cantrall is a singer, songwriter, and actor. Her 2026 EP Valley Girl Problems was produced by Stewart and co-written with Tayla Parx. She later launched her first headline tour, a 15-city North American run that included stops in New York, Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, and San Francisco. Cantrall also plays Red in Disney’s Descendants franchise, including the recent film Descendants: Wicked Wonderland.
