A Louisiana native, Daigle said the collaboration drew on her roots and the city’s musical traditions. “Coming from New Orleans, bringing together different musical styles with a little second line spirit feels like a celebration of new relationships, fresh perspectives and the joy of sharing my music with others,” she said. A 7-inch vinyl edition of the tracks is scheduled for November 27.

Daigle will bring her holiday repertoire to The Behold Christmas Tour, which begins with two performances at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on December 2 and 3. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band is set to join her for two shows at New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre. The tour is scheduled to conclude in Orlando at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

The release follows a career that has moved between Christian and mainstream charts. Daigle’s 2015 debut, How Can It Be, topped Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart, as did Behold: A Christmas Collection, Look Up Child and Lauren Daigle. “You Say,” from Look Up Child, spent 132 weeks atop Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart and reached No. 29 on the Hot 100. Look Up Child also reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200, the highest position for a Christian album by a woman in more than 20 years, according to the release. Daigle has won two Grammy Awards, including for the album and for “You Say.”
