No Mixed Emotions At Stones Warm-Up
The Rolling Stones limbered up for their new round of live activity with a private concert last night (3) in Las Vegas. The occasion was the American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference and Exhibition show at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The show featured many Stones classics, including ‘Start Me Up,’ ‘Honky Tonk Women’ and an encore of ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,’ but was also notable for being the first to feature ‘Mixed Emotions’ since 1990, soon after its release on the Steel Wheels album of the year before.
An announcement about the Stones’ new blues album, produced by Don Was and recorded at British Grove Studios in London, is promised on Thursday and teased with two short clips on their website here. The band play the first of their two ‘Desert Trip’ shows in Indio, California on Friday (7).
