Eminem shared a teaser for a new track on his socials, which appears to be for the soundtrack of the forthcoming Marvel film Venom.

The teaser shows the Venom title sequence morph into a backwards “E”, signifying Marshall Mathers’ signature logo.

While the clip is brief, the up-tempo ominous track features a small snippet of lyrics, with Eminem rapping the sinister verse “knock knock, let the devil in”, sounding unlike anything off his recent Revival release.

The official soundtrack listing has yet to be released, but it is confirmed that Black Panther composer Ludwig Göransson will score the film, starring Tom Hardy as Spider-Man’s iconic nemesis.

Plot details have been scarce, but the initial trailer made its debut at Comic Con in San Diego earlier this summer. The director Ruben Fleischer has previously mentioned the film will based on the Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes comic books, but it’s unclear if Spider-Man will appear in the film.

Rounding out the cast is Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate, Scott Haze, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson. The film is set to hit theaters on 5 October.

Meanwhile, Eminem just wrapped the European leg of his tour, promoting his ninth studio album, Revival and was recently featured on the Nicki Minaj track ‘Majesty’ off her new album Queen.

He also lent a feature to his former Bad Meets Evil partner, Detroit rapper Royce Da 5’9″ for a new video for ‘Caterpillar’, off Royce’s seventh album, Book of Ryan back in May.

The Detroit emcee will also appear on the inaugural episode of LL Cool J’s new monthly show “The Influence of Hip-Hop” show on SiriusXM’s Rock the Bells Radio on 1 September, where the two will discuss Eminem’s early days, signing with Dr Dre and his writing process behind some of his biggest hits.
