2hollis Announces New Album ‘Pirouette’ for November 11 Release
The Interscope release features hand-drawn artwork by artist Yoshitaka Amano.
2hollis has announced his new album Pirouette, due November 11 via Interscope Records. The project follows his major-label debut star and arrives after the recent singles “Hurt” and “Sex.”

The album features hand-drawn artwork by artist Yoshitaka Amano, whose work provides a visual counterpart to the project. Amano said the collaboration felt natural because of the qualities he saw in 2hollis. “There is a delicate, sensitive quality to 2hollis that aligned perfectly with the image I had in mind for the artwork,” he said. Amano also said 2hollis felt close to the type of character he has been depicting for years. “Rather than having to adapt my style to fit him, I was able to portray him naturally within my own world,” he said. “The piece feels closely connected to the work I have been creating throughout my career.”
Pirouette continues a run of new music that began this summer with “Hurt.” The follow-up, “Sex,” was described by Stereogum as carrying “EDM-infused pop bombast” and wrote that it “might be the most wholesome song about sex ever,” adding that the song feels “excited and happy.” A press release describes the two singles as the first preview of a more romantic and expressive direction for 2hollis, while retaining the mix of electronic production, experimentation and pop songwriting heard across his recent work.
The announcement also follows 2hollis’ appearance as i-D Magazine’s latest global print cover star. The feature focuses on the Los Angeles artist’s place across music, fashion and youth culture, and joins a series of fashion and culture covers that includes 032c, Dazed, and many more. The i-D issue is on stands globally now.
