Brothers Osborne have released Watertown, their fifth studio album. The 11-track record reunites the country duo with producer Jay Joyce and draws on the sound and spirit of their beginnings. Its songs return to the rural, rough-edged approach that shaped their early work, with the brothers describing the project emerging from a renewed focus on writing from personal instinct.

“We’re not just getting back to where we were born and raised, but to the roots of where we started musically,” TJ Osborne said of the album. “A time when music wasn’t dictated by anything other than what our hearts and souls wanted to say.”

The album includes two first-time full-length collaborations for Brothers Osborne. “Born and Raised Hell,” which opens Watertown, features Cody Johnson, the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, and “Tough Kid” features singer-songwriter Stephen Wilson Jr. These tracks mark the duo’s first collaborations on a full-length project.

“Born and Raised Hell” is scheduled to impact country radio on November 2. Its official video, directed by Nick Swift and filmed in Nashville, is out now. The clip moves between a garage performance by Brothers Osborne and Johnson and flashbacks to youthful hell-raising. John Osborne said Johnson’s presence made sense for a song about their respective water towns: “Whether it’s the Chesapeake Bay or the Trinity River, we sure gave our water towns hell. You’re salt of the earth, COJO.”
