Country-rock mavericks the Cadillac Three have today (21) unleashed the new track ‘All The Makin’s Of A Saturday Night.’ It was written by the group’s Grammy-nominated frontman Jaren Johnston and drummer Neil Mason with Josh Dunne. Lap steel guitarist and third group member Kelby Ray also stars on the song.
‘All The Makin’s Of A Saturday Night’ will have a major publicity boost from this very Saturday (24), from which date ESPN and ABC will use it on their college football broadcasts throughout the season. The feelgood number makes reference to such heroes as Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard.
“We’re all big college football fans,” says Mason, “and being from the south, have a special affinity for those in the SEC so it’s pretty badass that a song we wrote is going to amp up excitement for fans each Saturday night, whether they’re rocking out with us or if we’re the playlist for their weekend.”
The new release comes hard on the heels of the Cadillac Three’s last single ‘Crackin’ Cold Ones with the Boys,’ which was released in April. TC3 are currently on tour in the US on their headlining Country Fuzz itinerary, to which they’ve added further dates.
Tonight, they play the Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck, NY. Confirmed shows include two nights at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on 1 and 2 November, and stretch all the way ahead to an 8 November gig in Denver, CO.
“We spend a lot of time from tour bus to stage with each other,” notes Johnston, “so we’re constantly creating. Hell, we even recorded our last album Legacy on the bus! Our life happens on the road whether it’s family or a rowdy crew, memories and music are made.”
Adds Ray: “Basically, we’re keeping the tunes rolling and are going to release new music any time we can, so keep listening…there’s more to come!”
