DELTONA and Billy Ray Cyrus Remix ‘Party’s In The Back’
The collaboration followed a surprise meeting during the trio’s appearance on Storme Warren’s podcast.
Country-rock trio DELTONA has teamed with Billy Ray Cyrus for a new remix of “Party’s In The Back,” released via The Core Records. The track is out now alongside an official music video filmed at The Underdog in Nashville.

The collaboration began after Cyrus made a surprise visit during DELTONA’s recent appearance on Storme Warren’s podcast. Already familiar with the song, Cyrus met vocalist Ned Abernathy, guitarist Caleb Miller and drummer Chris Deaton and jokingly declared himself a “step-member” of the group before joining them in the studio. Earlier this week, he also surprised DELTONA during the band’s Raised Rowdy On The Row set at Odie’s in Nashville, joining the trio onstage. The accompanying video plays on Cyrus’ well-known former hairstyle, with the singer giving Abernathy a mullet in reference to the “business in the front, party in the back” phrase.
DELTONA said working with Cyrus carried particular significance for the band. “Billy Ray Cyrus has been a hero of ours for a long time and the fact that he found our music and wanted to jump on our song is a dream come true,” the trio said. “This song embodies the redneck living that we all love.”
The original version of “Party’s In The Back” was released in May and was co-written by the three band members with Paul Sikes. Jason Massey, a longtime DELTONA collaborator whose credits include Cole Swindell and Bailey Zimmerman, produced the track. The remix follows a summer in which DELTONA appeared on bills with Jordan Davis, Justin Moore, Frank Ray and Mitchell Tenpenny, as well as a recent visit to Raised Rowdy’s Outside The Round podcast. The group is set to play additional fall shows with Dustin Lynch and George Birge before reuniting with Cyrus for a performance at the NASCAR Cup Series Freeway Insurance 500 in Phoenix on October 18.
