HAIM have contributed a new song, “Cherry Flavored Stomach Ache,” to the forthcoming Netflix film The Last Letter From Your Lover. The movie hits the streaming platform on July 23.
The band confirmed the news in a Tweet, writing, “Cherry Flavored Stomach Ache,”made this in the depths of quar which was the biggest gift. “cherry flavored stomach ache” coming to @netflixfilm on Friday July 23 and to cinemas in the UK on August 6 via @studiocanalUK. can’t wait for u guys to see this one.”
Little else is known about the song, but the film is set to star Shailene Woodley, Joe Alwyn, and Felicity Jones. Fans will be able to enjoy the single a week before the film is released, as HAIM will be dropping the new jam on July 16.
HAIM have emerged from quarantine with an exciting number of new developments. The band won International Group at the BRIT Awards back in May, joining fellow winners Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and more. Regarding the award, Alana Haim made a note to thank the band’s UK fanbase. “Sisters! This is incredible … the UK was the first place to ever embrace us in the entire world and for that, honestly, we will be forever grateful.”
The trio will also be taking their celebrated live act to a number of festivals this summer, including All Things Go Festival, alongside artists like St. Vincent.The event will return on Saturday 16, October and will be making a major move to the 20,000 capacity Merriweather Post Pavilion venue in Washington DC. The festival continues their female-forward billing with the aforementioned Grammy Album Of The Year nominee, HAIM – in addition to Vincent, Charli XCX and LAUV at the top of the bill. The band will also be hitting the Life Is Beautiful festival alongside acts like Eilish and Tame Impala.
