LL COOL J Sets 11-Show Rock The Bells Residency
The 11 performances begin May 15, with tickets going on sale November 2.
LL COOL J will bring ROCK THE BELLS: THE RESIDENCY to Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas for 11 performances in 2027. The run opens May 15 and continues through July, with the show combining live music, storytelling and guest appearances to trace Hip-Hop’s development from its New York beginnings to its worldwide reach.
The production will feature LL COOL J performing songs from his catalog while leading audiences through different eras of the culture. DJs and immersive staging will accompany the performances. The organizers have not yet named the special guests, saying they will be revealed in the coming weeks.
LL COOL J described the residency as a gathering across generations and genres. “Hip-Hop started in a few neighborhoods in New York, and now it belongs to the whole world,” he said. “Along the way it changed rock, R&B, pop, soul, dance music, all of it.” He added that the show will bring together artists from different generations and genres for longtime fans and people discovering Hip-Hop for the first time.
The residency’s title connects the event to Rock The Bells, a platform LL COOL J founded in 2018. Rock The Bells spans content, commerce and live experiences, and its programming highlights MCs, DJs, breakers and graffiti artists. LL COOL J first emerged as a Def Jam Recordings artist in 1984. His catalog includes “Mama Said Knock You Out,” “Going Back to Cali,” “Around the Way Girl” and “I Need Love.” His most recent album, THE FORCE (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy), was released in 2024 and executive produced by Q-Tip.
The announced performance dates are May 15, 16, 19, 21 and 22, followed by July 9, 10, 11, 14, 16 and 17. All shows are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Citi cardmembers can access a presale beginning October 30 at 10 a.m. PT.
