This holiday season, best-selling Colombian star Juanes and his wife, actress Karen Martinez, will host a star-studded Christmas special. Airing December 4 exclusively on the Spanish-language streaming platform Pantaya, Celebremos: Eterna Navidad will feature such acclaimed musical guests as Gloria Trevi, Alejandro Fernández, and Los Tigres del Norte.
Produced by Pantaya, Elefantec Global, Plataforma, and Universal Music Group, the Yuletide special will also feature performances by Manuel Carrasco, Banda El Recodo, Paty Cantú, Kurt, and La Adictiva Banda San José De Mesillas.
Fans can also expect several collaborations, including those by Edith Márquez and Luciano Pereyra as well as by Danna Paola, who will appear alongside the band Morat.
Legendary Mexican singer Alejandro Fernández will also be joined by his children, América, Camila, and Valentina Fernández, while Juanes will perform with Moderatto frontman Jay de la Cueva.
Additionally, Celebremos: Eterna Navidad will include a variety of celebrity appearances, including those by Aislinn Derbez, Ana De La Reguera, Sebastian Zurita, and Ricardo O’Farrill. Chefs Benito Molina and Solange Muris, meanwhile, will offer viewers holiday cooking tips.
“We all need a little extra Christmas cheer this year and what better way to bring people together than by a holiday special featuring joyful music and celebrity fun,” said Mario Almeida, Vice President of Programming, Development, and Acquisitions for Pantaya. “We are excited to be working with the biggest names in Latinx entertainment and to partner with Pepe Baston’s Elefantec Global, Plataforma, and Universal Music Group.”
Ahead of the festive special, Juanes will perform at the 21st annual Latin Grammy Awards. While this year’s telecast will be remote, it still promises a hefty line-up of talent, including J Balvin, Ricky Martin, Karol G, Marc Anthony, Sebastián Yatra, and Bad Bunny, among many others. Juanes and Yatra are also up for Song of the Year for their collaborative track “Bonita,” off Juanes’ 2019 LP, Más Futuro Que Pasado.
