Lewis Capaldi is among the latest acts confirmed for the Reading & Leeds Festival 2020 line-up.

This year’s festivals will be held from 28 to 30 August. Stormzy, Liam Gallagher and Rage Against The Machine will headline the main stages across the three days.

Lewis Capaldi is the latest big name to join the growing Reading & Leeds bill. He’ll play at Reading on Friday, 28 August just before Migos, before heading to Leeds to perform on the Main Stage the following day, 29 August.

Ten more acts have also been added to the line-up today (28 February), with The Subways, Ms Banks, MoStack, L Devine, Cleopatrick, Belako, JAUZ, 100 Gecs, Koven and Sofi Tukker all being confirmed for this year’s festivals.

More acts are set to be announced soon. Weekend and day tickets for Reading & Leeds 2020 are on sale now. Visit the event’s official website for further information.

Elsewhere in Lewis Capaldi news, the rising young Scottish star recently sold out two shows at The O2 in London, which are set for 2 and 4 October.

“We just sold out 2 nights at the O2 Arena in London in 1 second,” Capaldi wrote in gratitude to his fans. “20,000 of us each night f_k. I have no words. Thank you all so much.”

The singer added a second date at the London venue after tickets for the first show were snapped up within seconds. The second show then went on to sell at the same rate.

The gigs will join Capaldi’s already-announced arena dates in staging the mental health initiative LIVELIVE, which aims to provide mental health support to fans “who love live music, yet suffer from anxiety and/or panic attacks whilst in busy concert environments.”

Each ticket to Capaldi’s upcoming tour includes a 50p donation which goes towards “providing a fully qualified team at venues who are expertly trained and qualified in assisting with panic, anxiety or any other general mental health enquiries fans may have”.

Capaldi also picked up two BRIT Awards — for Best New Artist and Song of the Year — at the 2020 ceremony earlier this month.
