Limited Colour Vinyl Edition For Moody Blues’ ‘Live At The BBC’ Set

The collection is a treasure trove of 41 live performances from appearances on BBC radio and television between 1967 and 1970.

The Moody Blues’ Live At The BBC: 1967–1970 will be released on vinyl for the first time on 26 April by Polydor/UMG, in a limited, individually numbered 3LP colour vinyl edition. First issued in 2007 in 2CD and digital versions, the collection is a treasure trove of no fewer than 41 live performances by the storied British band, from appearances they made on BBC radio and television between 1967 and 1970.

These include Top Gear, the BBC Radio 1 show not to be confused with the present day motoring series. Here, the Moodies played ‘Ride My See-Saw,’ ‘The Best Way To Travel,’ ‘Voices In The Sky,’ ‘Dr. Livingstone, I Presume,’ ‘Lovely To See You,’ ‘Never Comes The Day,’ ‘Send Me No Wine’ and ‘To Share Our Love’);

In Search Of The Lost Chord Moody BluesFrom Afternoon Pop Show, the compilation features ‘Peak Hour,’ ‘Ride My See-Saw’ and ‘Tuesday Afternoon); from The Tony Brandon Show, ‘So Deep Within You’ and ‘Lovely To See You’); from Colour Me Pop’ there’s ‘Ride My See-Saw,’ ‘Dr. Livingstone, I Presume,’ ‘House Of Four Doors,’ ‘Voices In The Sky,’ ‘The Best Way To Travel,’ ‘Visions Of Paradise’ and ‘The Actor’); from their appearance on The Lulu Show comes ‘Question,’ and more.

Also part of the collection is an eight-song performance for BBC Live In Concert, featuring live versions of tracks from three classic Moody Blues albums: Days Of Future PassedIn Search Of The Lost Chord and To Our Children’s Children’s Children.

In its new vinyl edition, the compilation further burnishes the global reputation of the 2018 he Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, who continue to delight audiences around the world to this day, with over 70 million album sales to their name.
