Listen To Duo Lindemann’s ‘Steh Auf,’ With Rammstein’s Till Lindemann
While their 2015 debut set Skills In Pills was sung entirely in English, the new album has Till Lindemann singing in German.
German-Swedish power duo Lindemann — consisting of Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann and Peter Tägtgren, mastermind of metal bands Pain and Hypocrisy — will release their second album, F & M, on 22 November.
It takes a distinct turn from the 2015 debut set Skills In Pills, which was sung entirely in English and went gold in Germany. This time, Till Lindemann sings the lyrics in German as part of an intense, unique composition. The album will be released as a standard edition six-panel digipack, a special edition with deluxe hardcover book, a 2LP 180 gram black vinyl edition, and in digital formats.
Skills In Pills went to No. 1 in Germany and Finland and reached the top three in Austria and Norway. The new album comes in the wake of the release in May of Rammstein’s self-titled seventh studio album.
F & M was inspired by Till Lindemann’s collaboration with the Hamburg Thalia Theatre, in the context of a modern adaptation of Hänsel & Gretel, the Brothers Grimm fairy tale. It addresses such subjects as fear, hope, poverty, abundance, cannibalism and death. Five songs from the acclaimed production are augmented with six brand new compositions.
The first single from the album, ‘Steh auf,’ is available now for streaming and download. Its promo clip was created by celebrated music video director Zoran Bihac, who has previously worked on videos for both Rammstein and Lindemann. The new film was shot in Kazakhstan and one of the main characters is played by a fellow countryman of Tägtgren’s, actor Peter Stormare of Fargo fame.
The tracklisting for F & M is as follows:
1. Steh auf
2. Ich weiß es nicht
6. Frau & Mann

8. Schlaf ein
11.Wer weiß das schon
Only included on the special edition, 2LP and digital formats:
