Organizers of the Chicago, Illinois four-day music festival Lollapalooza have announced that the event will be teaming up with video streaming service Hulu for an exclusive livestream of performances from Lollapalooza 2021 running from July 29 through August 1.
“We are thrilled to be partnering for the first time with Hulu for this year’s livestream and are excited that the Lollapalooza fans who cannot be with us in Chicago have such a great platform to experience the show,” Courtney Trucksess, sponsorship director of Lollapalooza festival promoter C3 Presents, told Billboard.
This year’s Lollapalooza lineup is stacked with stars both rising and established. Headliners for the event include the Foo Fighters, Post Malone, Tyler, the Creator, Megan Thee Stallion, Miley Cyrus, Jack Harlow and more. Elsewhere on the bill, appearances are made by Brockhampton, Tate McRae, Olivia O’Brien, All Time Low, Peach Tree Rascals, Omar Apollo and dozens more.
Lollapalooza was held virtually in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, but now that it’s back at Chicago’s Grant Park, the goal is to include as many music fans in the four-day celebration as possible. For those attending in person, proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 24 hours prior to attendance will be required each day. On sale now, ticket options include 4-day general admission ($350); 4-day GA+ ($650); 4-day VIP ($1500); and 4-day platinum ($4200).
For those who are unable to attend in person for any number of reasons, the festival’s partnership with Hulu will allow Lollapalooza to continue to be an inclusive event. Those already subscribed to the video streaming service will be able to access the livestream at no additional charge to their current plan.
While the official lineup for the Hulu livestream has yet to be finalized, the service has shared that the stream will begin at 10 A.M. PST each day and run through 9 P.M. PST for each day of the festival. More information about the exclusive Hulu livestream of Lollapalooza 2021 can be found on the streaming platform’s official website.
