Muscadine Bloodline Announces ‘Escatawpa Hollow’
The September 18 single is the duo’s first release through Trenches Records and Republic Records.
Muscadine Bloodline will release new single “Escatawpa Hollow” on September 18, marking the Alabama duo’s first release through a new partnership with Trenches Records and Republic Records. The partnership brings Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton to the labels after more than a decade operating independently. Its aim is to expand the reach of the music and audience the pair has built since forming.
“This is about adding horsepower without changing the engine,” the duo said of the agreement. “We’ve always believed that if you take care of the fans, everything else follows. That mindset isn’t changing. We’re just adding a team that can help us reach more people while staying true to everything that’s gotten us here.” The comments frame the deal as an expansion of Muscadine Bloodline’s existing operation rather than a change in how the pair approaches its music or audience.
Muncaster and Stanton began Muscadine Bloodline in 2015. Since then, the duo has accumulated more than 1 billion streams, while “Me On You” and “Porch Swing Angel” have each earned Platinum certification. “Pieces,” featuring Lainey Wilson, has been certified Gold. Muscadine Bloodline has also sold out headline tours internationally and joined Post Malone, Wilson and Turnpike Troubadours on the road. The duo’s catalog and touring operation remained independent through that period as its live reach expanded.
“Escatawpa Hollow” introduces the next phase of that partnership. The track is built around power chords and an upbeat, heartland-rock chorus, with its storytelling drawing on the places and people that shaped Muncaster and Stanton. The song’s setting reflects a part of the South with personal significance for the duo, tying the new release to the Alabama roots that have remained central to their work. The September 18 release will be the first new music issued through the Trenches Records/Republic Records alliance.
