Genre-hopping Dallas, TX superstar Post Malone will host an exclusive livestream on his Official YouTube Channel this Friday, 24 April 2020 at 3pm PT/6pm ET, where he will be performing a set of Nirvana hits and fan favourites in a live broadcast from his home. Friday’s livestream event will raise funds for The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for The World Health Organization (WHO) in support of COVID-19 relief efforts. Fans will be able to make donations to the UN Foundation in real time during Post Malone’s Nirvana-inspired livestream by using the “DONATE” button on the top right-hand side of the screen. Google.org will be matching all donations at a 2:1 rate, up to $5M, with all proceeds going to the UN Foundation.
Shortly after going into quarantine, Post Malone also hosted a virtual beer pong tournament, featuring some famous participants. The star held the tournament on Instagram Live with his friend and musician MIKE.
MIKE shared a video of Malone showing off a trophy that went to the eventual winner. In the clip, the star said: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Stevie Daniels Ballina Cup trophy. This belongs to the finest beer pong player of the evening and at the end of the season it’s gonna go to the finest team.”
As uDiscover Music previously reported, Post Malone is using his time in quarantine to work on the follow-up album to Hollywood’s Bleeding. The rapper’s manager, Dre London, recently took to social media to reveal that the star has been using this time at home to focus on his new music.
He wrote: “I’m sorry I can’t stay away from my brother Posty! I’ll take the chance! Tonight we made a smash on FaceTime now we gonna just go into Quarantine Album mode,” Dre wrote on Instagram. “If we don’t connect energy how the🌎gonna enjoy this summer?🤷🏽♂️Let’s Get It!! See You Soon bruv! #2020 #DreVision 👁🤫.”
